AgroTech invites you to an open house on June 12th. Here you can see our new facilities for the production of micro algae, where we offer propagation and demo production in semi-commercial scale.
Agro Tech has extensive expertise in the optimization of plant growth under controlled conditions and has in recent years expanded this area to include micro algae production. We can now offer characterization of micro algae’s climate and nutrient requirements for optimal growth, and we can offer to propagate algae and demonstrate the production of algae in semi-commercial scale.
We have just started to use a 750 liter tubular reactor for the production of micro algae. Research shows that many algae, in addition to exceptional nutritional qualities, contain biochemical compounds that can be used medicinally and industrially, as micro algae can be used as feedstock for biodiesel, bio plastics and much more. At AgroTech, we collaborate with researchers, and we look forward to contributing to the application-oriented part by being able to offer this new experimental facility.
At the open house you will receive a tour of the facility and the various opportunities. The reactor was built in collaboration with LGem, a Dutch company that specializes in the production of micro algae and construction of production facilities.
